Coach Christian Rios
Sports Performance Coach | Marian University Exercise Science Graduate | Strength Coach
Christian Rios is the kind of coach you want in your corner because he’s earned every step. He grew inside the Freak Performance system—from summer intern, to part-time coach, to full-time strength coach after graduating from Marian University. That path reflects who he is: consistent, coachable, and willing to do the work long before the spotlight shows up.

Built Inside Freak Performance
Earned, Not Given
Christian’s coaching foundation was shaped by real reps—learning the Freak Performance standard up close, then developing into a coach who can lead athletes with both knowledge and presence. He understands the process because he lived it, and he brings that same expectation to every athlete he trains.
Competitive Background
A Coach Who’s Been in the Arena
Christian graduated from Highland High School (IN) in 2021 and competed at the Track & Field State Championships as a sophomore and senior—earning state finalist medals both times. He also earned Hall of Fame recognition at Highland for his performance in track and football, showing that he wasn’t just training… he was producing.
Marian University
Science + Mindset (Built Together)
At Marian University, Christian was recruited as a thrower and competed in shot put, discus, hammer, and weight throw. He graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology—giving him both the technical tools to build performance and the mindset lens to help athletes handle pressure, setbacks, and growth.
His collegiate career included extensive success at the team and individual level across conference, regional, and national competition—experience that now shapes how he develops athletes day to day.

The Edge: Perspective
Turning Setbacks into Fuel
What separates Christian isn’t just what he’s achieved—it’s how he thinks. He understands the highs and lows of sport, and he teaches athletes how to respond when things don’t go perfectly. He doesn’t label adversity as failure—he treats it as feedback. That mindset becomes a weapon for athletes who want to be consistent, confident, and ready when the moment gets uncomfortable.
Coaching Style
What Athletes Can Expect
Athletes who train with Coach Christian can expect demanding sessions with clear purpose. He pushes standards while keeping the environment positive and focused. Training targets speed, strength, power, agility, and endurance—but Christian makes sure athletes understand the “why” behind the work, so progress isn’t random. The goal is performance you can trust—on your best day and your worst day.
